1 DAY TOUR WITH SUNRISE BUT NO SUNSET

Welcome to our beautiful Sunrise at Angkor Wat

Our unforgettable day begins early with a departure from your hotel lobby at 4:00 – 4:30 am or 5:00 am. We will head directly to Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world and the crown jewel of the Angkor Archaeological Park, to witness its breathtaking sunrise. Watching the first golden rays of sunlight illuminate the temple’s iconic towers is truly a magical experience and one of the highlights of any visit to Cambodia.

After sunrise, we will explore the magnificent galleries, courtyards, and intricate bas-reliefs of Angkor Wat while learning about its fascinating history, architecture, and spiritual significance.

Angkor Thom – The Great Ancient Capital (The Smiling Faces)

We will then continue to the impressive South Gate of Angkor Thom, the last great capital of the Khmer Empire. This monumental entrance is lined with giant stone figures depicting gods and demons participating in the legendary “Churning of the Ocean of Milk.”

Inside Angkor Thom, we will visit:

Bayon Temple – Famous for its 49 towers adorned with 196 serene smiling faces of Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, making it one of the most iconic temples in Cambodia.
Baphuon Temple – A majestic 11th-century Hindu temple that predates Angkor Wat and showcases remarkable Khmer engineering.
The Reclining Buddha – A giant Buddha image created during the 16th century on the rear side of Baphuon.
The Royal Enclosure – Once the royal palace complex of the Khmer kings.
Elephant Terrace – A grand platform used for royal ceremonies and public celebrations.
Terrace of the Leper King – An intricately carved terrace rich in mystery and historical significance.

Ta Keo & Ta Prohm

Leaving Angkor Thom, we continue to Ta Keo, an impressive mountain temple built entirely from sandstone and known for its striking pyramid-shaped architecture.

Next, we visit the world-famous Ta Prohm Temple, often called the “Jungle Temple.” Left largely in its natural state, giant tree roots intertwine dramatically with the ancient stone structures, creating one of the most photogenic sites in Angkor. The temple gained international fame after appearing in the movie Tomb Raider starring Angelina Jolie.

Lunch Break (Local Restaurant clean and hygiene)

After an exciting morning of temple exploration, we will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant near the temple complex at approximately 12:30 PM – 1:00 PM, where you can relax and experience authentic Cambodian cuisine.

Afternoon Temples

Following lunch, around 1:30 PM – 2:00 PM, we will continue our journey with visits to:

Banteay Kdei Temple – A peaceful Buddhist monastery featuring beautiful corridors and atmospheric ruins.
Prasat Kravan – A unique 10th-century brick temple renowned for its remarkable bas-reliefs dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu.
End of Tour

Our temple exploration will conclude between 3:00 PM or 5:00 PM, after which we will return to your hotel.

This carefully designed itinerary combines the most spectacular highlights of Angkor, offering a perfect blend of history, culture, architecture, and unforgettable photography opportunities. It promises to be a memorable journey through the heart of the ancient Khmer Empire.
